Kansas Medicare Supplements during Part D Enrollment Period

Last Monday, according to the McPherson Sentinel, Medicare Part D enrollment plan began. This means, “Medicare beneficiaries currently enrolled or wanting to enroll in a Medicare Part D program need to enroll between Nov. 15 and Dec. 31 to avoid penalties.”

This is the best time to review your Medicare plan and decide which Kansas Medicare Supplements would best fill the “gap” left by your new Medicare plan. You don’t want to be caught in a spot by assuming a new Medicare plan doesn’t leave any holes that may need to be filled. It’s important to be informed and to be safe.

The purpose of Kansas Medicare Supplements is to cover the aforementioned “gap” left by Medicare plans. What that means is the lack of coverage in certain situations can be troublesome, of course, if you don’t have some sort of Medicare Supplement, simply a supplemental plan in addition to–not instead of–your Medicare plan.

When these plans change, and with so many options now being offered in the world of Medicare, it is important to have a consultant to remain completely informed as to the possible downfalls of your particular Medicare plan. Then, with relative ease, you can “patch” those holes as one would on a ship by choosing the right Kansas Medicare Supplement plan.

So, as Medicare Part enrollment rolls on, make sure you stay informed, and most of all, make sure you stay safe.
